 Unique amongst the hostels in Florence, Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is only a few minutes from the historic areas of San Frediano and Santo Spirito and can easily be reached from the train station, Santa Maria Novella (10-15 minutes on foot).
Conceived as a low-cost hotel, Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is suitable for those who want to stay in Florence at rock-bottom prices without sharing a room with strangers, plus there is no curfew!
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE THAT YOU BOOK!
1) Check-in from 2:00pm to 7:30pm (thats to say from 14:00 to 19:30).
Reception is CLOSED from 7:30pm to 7:00am (thats to say from 19:30 to 7:00) and during this time we dont check-in.
If Guests are late they lose their reservation (so theres no way they can sleep at Youth Firenze 2000) and we charge on their credit card the first night of stay.
2) Check-out is at 9:30 on departure date
3) Reservations can be cancelled without penalties until 15 days before the arrival date. If Guests cancel their reservations in the 15 days that precede their arrival date we charge on their credit card the first night of stay.
4) We dont accept Guests younger than 18 years old ( we accept underage Guests only if they are with their parents or on a school trip).
5) Guests will be asked to respect our house rules (during the check-in guests will provided with our list of our rules and they will be asked to sign, therefore respect, them). By the way dont worry! They are just common sense!
6) Rates for 2008 dont include a potential TOURISTIC TAX that could be approved in 2008. If this tax will be approved all hostels / hotels will have to tax their guests and you will have to pay for it.
FEATURES: all rooms are PRIVATE (at Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 we dont have rooms to share) and all are provided with private bathroom and shower. We have single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms, rooms with 4 and 5 beds.
LOCATION: Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is located in the HISTORICAL CENTRE OF FLORENCE (San Fediano area) at 10 minutes on foot from the main railway station (SMN).
CHECK-IN: Check-in from 2:00pm to 7:30pm (thats to say from 14:00 to 19:30). Reception is closed from 7:30pm to 7:00am (thats to say from 19:30 to 7:00) and during this time we dont check-in.
NO CURFEW: after 19:30 (thats to say 7:30pm) you will enter Youth Firenze 2000 using your keys!
AIR CONDITIONING: available at a small additional cost (3, 50 euros per person per night in single, double and twin room; 2, 50 euros per person per night in triple, rooms with 4 and 5 beds). Some rooms are naturally chilly due to their location.
BLANKETS AND TOWELS: blankets, towels and sheets are provided by Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 and rooms are cleaned daily.
INTERNET facilities (Wi-Fi): at guests disposal at small additional costs (10minuts=1, 00 euros; 30 minutes= 2, 50 euros; 1 hour= 4, 50 euros; 2 hours= 8 euros; 5 hours= 19, 00 euros).
LAUNDRY= 5 euros, detergent included (no dryer available but open air racks available)
BREAKFAST: at Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 we DONT SERVE breakfast but from 7:00 to 9:30 we OFFER muffins and plumcakes and guests can have hot beverages from a vending machine for 0, 50 euros. Its not something to wrote home about but its something to start with!
LUGGAGE STORAGE: free at arrival (if you arrive before 14:00 and your room is not ready yet!) and free at departure... but only if you book with hostelbookers! (MIND THAT RECEPTION CLOSES AT 19:30).
