Hostel was five minutes from train station and very centrally located. Although the hostel is extremely close to the red light district the location is not seedy at all. The toilet in the 6 bed private dorm we had felt quite modern and clean.

Great location, close to everything, but lacked in character and resources (maps and other things to see). Good for a quick visit to Amsterdam.

The fact that it had a canal at the back of the property and a smoking room downstairs. The rooms were very basic but they did the job they were there for.
