We are located in the city centre, so traffic junctions (such as airport and main train stations) and Viennas main sights can be easily reached by public transport.

Hietzing (13th district) was home to many famous and important people, such as Johann Strauss, Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. It also offers a lot of sights: Schonbrunn Palace, the Lainzer Zoo, buildings designed by Otto Wagner and Adolf Loos and well-known restaurants and coffee houses.
It is only a short walk to Maxingstrasse 18, where Johann Strauss once lived. It was in this house that he composed many of his famous works, for example the Fledermaus.
Have lunch at the Brandauer Schlossbr?u, which is located right in the old center of Hitzing. Not far away, you can see the church Maria Hietzing, which is certainly worth a visit. One of the oldest streets in Hietzing is Altgasse, well-known for its many antique and handicraft shops.

Schonbrunn Palace - the former summer residence of the imperial family, is considered one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Europe. The Habsburgs resided here the better part of the year in numerous rooms for the large imperial family in addition to representational rooms. Emperor Franz Joseph, who later married the enchanting Sisi and reigned from 1848 to 1916, was born here in 1830. The monarch spent his last years entirely in the palace, which became the property of the new Republic of Austria only two years after his death. Today, the palace is part of UNESCOs cultural heritage due to its historic importance, its unique grounds and its splendid furnishings.

Lainz Game Preserve - a unique nature and culture adventure for visitors of all ages. The Forestry Office of the City of Vienna offers coach rides, 5 forest playgrounds, nature trails, public feedings (wild boar, wild sheep, fallow bucks), guided tours and excursions on different topics (such as bats or owls, among others).

The Hermes Villa - is located in a former imperial hunting ground, the Lainz Game Preserve. Emperor Franz Joseph once presented his wife, the Empress Elisabeth, with the villa as a Castle of Dreams
The renowned architect Carl von Hasenauer built this romantic mansion from 1882 to 1886, and its name derives from the statue of Hermes in the villas garden. With its sumptuous furnishing, the building is considered one of the outstanding examples of villa architecture of the late romantic period.
Today, the Hermes Villa is also a popular showcase for remarkable special exhibitions on cultural historical topics. And nowhere else in Vienna, it seems, does one find such a perfect symbiosis of art, culture and nature.
