Malatya is settled in the south of Anatolia. The town itself is of no particular interest but is a good starting point for a trip to Nemrut Dagi a sight not to be missed!
Malatya is also prime apricot country in fact, most of Turkeys Apricots come from the region. You can fly to Malatya from Ankara. Actually the town has a very rich historical past, there are many ruins to visit (if your into that kind of thing). There is a really cool museum, which is free. There are several annual festivals not to be missed like the Kaysi Festivali, (the Apricot Festival) with well known live acts from all over turkey. |
