Hostel Ruthensteiner - Austria, Vienna Hostel

This is the perfect place to stay in Vienna! The hostel is just a 3-minute walk from the Westbahnhof train station (on a quiet side street) and equidistant between the city centre and beautiful Palace Schoenbrunn! The main shopping street, the Mariahilferstrasse is just around the corner. From here you can either walk to many major sites or hop on the metro or tram just a minute or 2 away.

Some of our many amenities include a new self-service kitchen, a lovely garden complete with barbeque and oversized chess set, lockers, internet, laundry and musical instruments for your use. We have a brand new bar and serve a delicious local draft beer, wines, juices, and cocktails. We also offer very popular tours that leave right from the hostel. Some of these include: bike and walking tours and an all-day Grape Grazing / Biking tour to the Wachau wine-growing region in the Danube Valley!

We can offer you Viennas best-priced beds from dorm beds -both mixed and female only, (using your own sheets or sleeping bags or renting ours) to beds in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 bedded rooms including linen. Our rooms are very comfortable and cosy. In each room you will find a sink with hot and cold water. Showers and toilets are just down the hall. We also have several new rooms (doubles, quads, 6 and 8 bed rooms with private showers and toilets!)

Take time to see our wonderful city- full of famous museums, gorgeous architecture, coffee houses, music, etc. Dont miss the new Leopold Museum in the Museum Quarter, with the largest collection of Egon Schiele paintings and other art nouveau artists. Other favourites are the Fine Arts museum and the palaces Schoenbrunn and Belevedere. There are lots of great clubs and discos for dancing the night away!
